It has been a year of remarkable achievements, and we are so proud of everything we have accomplished together.

Celebrating Our Successes

As a small club, the results we’ve seen this year are nothing short of extraordinary. On the pitch, we’ve witnessed incredible wins, and individual accomplishments:

Affiliate Opportunities: Many of our players received the opportunity to guest play with other affiliates in multiple states.

National Recognition: Five of our players qualified to compete at the National School of Excellence (SOE) event, with two exceptionally talented individuals making their respective age group National teams.

International Experience: We were thrilled to send two of our players to Germany to compete directly with and against top-tier European talent.

Coaching Excellence: Our commitment to world-class coaching took our staff across the globe. Our coaches attended the USC Convention in Philadelphia and the BVB National Training Event in North Carolina. Most notably, one of our coaches spent a full week in Dortmund, Germany, immersing themselves in the "Dortmund Way", learning the philosophies and styles of play alongside affiliates from the UK, Poland, and across the US.

In addition, a huge congratulations to Coach Justin for earning his USSF C License! He couldn't have balanced this rigorous certification with coaching without the incredible partnership of Coach Mike Jenkins. We believe that to develop great players, we must never stop developing as coaches, and we are committed to bringing that high level of expertise to our local community.

New Team: Watching the development of our new U13 team this year has been incredibly rewarding for both Justin and me. Coach Chris and these families have brought an enthusiasm for the game that has truly elevated our entire club culture! Oh, did we mention they just won their league championship this Spring finishing with an impressive 6-0-1 record. Coach Chris has created a competitive and challenging environment and we’re looking forward to watching them compete again in the fall (maybe at an even higher level???)

Two League Champions! In addition, many used their acquired leadership skills to volunteer with our Mini Bees and demonstrated unbelievable growth on and off the pitch! We are so proud to share that we are excited to see all of them representing over 8 local high schools this fall before we see them back for the spring season.

Mini Bees: We believe a club only thrives when we emphasize early development and a lifelong passion for soccer. Coach Jacob took on the challenge of relaunching our Mini Bees program with fantastic results, made even more special by our older players volunteering their time each week to help teach the next generation of BVBIA talent.

The Heart of Our Club

While we are proudly attached to the global powerhouse of Borussia Dortmund, at our core, we remain a local, community-driven non-profit. At BVBIA-Colorado Springs, we believe that choosing a club should be a well-informed decision made for the right reasons—not one made out of fear or under an artificial deadline.

To help families navigate this process, we have compiled the essential facts regarding player signings based on the Colorado Soccer Association (CSA) rules and our own club values.

The Truth About Player Signings

Many parents are led to believe that they must sign a contract the moment an offer is made or they will lose their spot forever. While clubs do need to fill rosters, it is important to understand the regulatory framework provided by Colorado Soccer:

The Seasonal Year: According to CSA Rule 1.7, a youth player is officially registered for a "seasonal year" (which runs from August 1 to July 31) the moment the player’s representative executes the registration form.

The Commitment: Once you sign and register with a club, you are bound to that club for the entire seasonal year. CSA Rule 3.7 states that the club has "sole discretion" on whether to grant a transfer or release.

The Transfer Window: If a player is unhappy or the environment isn't a fit, there is a designated Open Transfer Window each year from December 1st to December 14th. Outside of this window, releasing a player from a contract is often difficult and may require paying the full year's financial obligation.

Advice for Parents: Avoid the "Trap"

Don't Rush the Pen: If a club pressures you to sign a contract before you have had time to evaluate the coach, the team culture, and the financial commitment, take a step back. A club that relies on "trapping" families via early deadlines may not be confident in the value they provide.

Know the Dates: Tryouts typically occur throughout May. While many clubs push for immediate signatures, remember that once you sign, you are legally and financially committed for the next 12 months.

Ask About the "Release Policy": Before signing, ask to see the club's specific release and refund policy. Per CSA rules, clubs can hold you to your full annual fee even if you leave the team mid-season.

The BVBIA Difference: Excellence, Character, and Growth

At BVBIA-Colorado Springs, we don't believe in "trapping" players; we believe in earning their commitment through the quality of our development. Our values are rooted in the BVB Way:

The Complete Player: We focus on developing athletes technically, tactically, mentally, and physically. We want you to choose us because our training philosophy—built on the world-renowned Borussia Dortmund standards—is the best fit for your child's growth.

Partnership with Parents: We view parents as essential partners. We lead by example, providing all the facts so families can make a decision with confidence.

Our goal is to ensure that every athlete in Colorado Springs is in an environment where they can thrive.
